Help Make Chicago an Eco-Friendly City: Ban Styrofoam!

San Francisco has become the first US city to ban the use of Styrofoam. Styrofoam, or polystyrene, is a number 6 plastic which is already not considered an acceptable material for recycling through the Blue Cart Program or at Recycling Drop-off Centers in Chicago.

Styrofoam poses serious risks to health concerns, the environment, and animal welfare.

Chicago should join San Francisco in their efforts to ban Styrofoam to become a healthier and more eco-friendly city.

Help make Chicago a more environmentally conscious city.

Please sign to ban Styrofoam in Chicago!

Dear Mayor Rahm Emanuel,

I strongly urge you to join San Franscisco's efforts in banning stryofoam and helping make Chicago a more environmentally friendly city.
