Every species of cetacean has been hunted sometime in history, and many are still hunted today. Whether it's whaling, small slaughters on islands, or large slaughters like in Taiji, Japan and the Faroe Islands, several types of these beautiful animals and killed brutally and unnecessarily. Most of it is culture, but it doesn't matter anymore. Many cultures from long ago no longer exist, and it's about time that these animal killings stop too.
