Demand that GraniteRock let my rescue horses return to their grazing land

Apparently there is no honor with GraniteRock. 6 months after they removed my horses from the land they have grazed for 15 years and that my family leased for more then 30 years, they have completed their "salamander study". They found salamanders but instead of allowing me to lease the property again(as they verbally promised) they have chosen to give my neighbor the lease. They gave me a "courtesy phone call" to inform me that they would NOT allow me to lease the property because "Horses are destructive".

On Tuesday I formally asked, in writing, for a meeting with Mr Squeri, the CEO, Keith Seversen, their reclamation manager & their environmental department so that I could have clarification on why, after 30+ years of grazing the land, horses are suddenly destructive to the salamanders that they found. I was never given the courtesy of a response. Just looked up this afternoon to 20 head of cattle grazing. I am positive that now that my neighbor, having gained 88 acres, will get additional cattle. Not quite sure how 35 cows do less damage then 8-10 horses?

So now, instead of RESCUE HORSES being allowed to graze, GraniteRock is leasing the property to graze cattle FOR PROFIT. I am disappointed in Graniterock, but not surprised. My friend, Jim West, rest his soul, would never had treated people this way

I ask that you sign this petition that GraniteRock allow me to lease the land and return my rescue horses to the pastures they have used for most of their lives
