Tell Penn State Not to Honor Joe Paterno At Its Sept. 17 Game

Penn State football plans to honor late coach Joe Paterno at its Sept. 17th game against Temple University, which marks the 50th anniversary of his first game as head of the Nittany Lions.

Joe Paterno may have been a great football coach, but according to a report that was released in July, he knew for decades that his assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky, was raping and molesting multiple young boys, and did nothing about it.

As a PSU alum, I think this is disgraceful. Penn State has nothing to gain from honoring Paterno. It's time to move forward. Please sign this petition if you think Penn State football should refrain from honoring Paterno at its Sept. 17 game.
