House cleaning time for Trolls, Teens, and others taking up Care 2 Members' time.

I have come here for many weeks. I've really learned a lot. But I am noticing lately that people are making up

1)Nonsense petitions that are incoherent as if the author were  high.

2)Repeat petitions -sometimes 3 and 4 of the same one by the same author.Surely these aren't serious efforts. Are they attempts to earn 200 points? FAIL. There are much more wholesome ways and quicker ways to do that. It's a crying shame to spam this site.

3)Petitions that don't tell us  the very basicis-"who what where when and how." I'm not that great at the details myself but people need to know what the injustice is and where it's happening at the very least.

4) Petitions calling for the ridiculous.Last night I almost cried. After hours of looking at pictures of starving animals, cats entombed in cement, dogs that were barely more than a rack of bones, someone petitions for the wearing of hats in class. Hats worn indoors, unless you are a Jewish male wearing a Yarmulke showing respect for G-d or a Muslim praying, is considerd rude and disrespectful indoors and in the company of ladies. This is how I was raised. Others ask for things so selfish it's crazy-meeting a popular singer or similar requests. This is not Make A Wish.

5)My final and the most prevalent  annoyance cropping up is a complete disregard for spelling. If you just can't spell  and your machine is so old that you don't have spell check,I hear the dictionary is still sometimes available.

These are just examples. It seems like a minor issue but it bother me.

Please. Is there a board in charge of petitions? Does someone oversee them  and decide which ones shouldn't be sent through or are they all sent through? Why are there 3& 4 of the same one still on the Petition site by the same author even though they only have 1 or 2 votes each?

Please vote for a board to oversee the petitions or if there is a board, please activate them.

Respectfully,

Helga Voith Ganguly
