Give Elephants a Chance

In Asia, the elephant is abused and misused for human gain. Such as logging, street performing and begging. Also, for the touring industry, there is riding. Elephants are big animals, but should not be ridden. On top of the weight of one or two humans, you have the weight of the saddle. Which could weigh in excess of 50 pounds. The elephant could get injuries to their back and/spine. In Africa, the elephants are being killed for their ivory and more recently for their skin. That leaves the baby elephants orphaned and left on their own for other prey. If they are not rescued, they have to fend for themselves. Unacceptable!
