The City of Kamloops needs to bring in this amazing event to help generate more tourist activity during the summer months. Not only will it help bring in more money to the city and local family businesses, but it will really make Kamloops a destination spot over the summer. More people will see Kamloops as the place to visit over the summer because we host this amazing event.
If we as a city want to grow, we should be taking notes from other major cities in Canada such as Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, etc. Each of them host a convention where thousands of people attend to hang out and meet new friends who all share a love and interest in either a movie, video game, cartoon, etc. Celebrities have been known to also visit these conventions which feature shows/movies that they star in.
