Consultation Process with the Gitxaala Nation Electors/Band Members

The Gitxaala Nation Governing Body must fulfil their fiduciary duty (legal responsibility) with the Gitxaala Nation Electors/Band Members.

The Gitxaala Nation Electors/Band Members HAVE NOT BEEN INFORMED - BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER "Legal Agreements" have been signed on their behalf pertaining to the OIL, GAS AND MINING INDUSTRIES AND DEVELOPMENTS within their Gitxaala Nation Traditional Territory.

THE GITXAALA NATION ELECTORS/BAND MEMBERS ARE FORMALLY DEMANDING THAT THEY ARE INCLUDED IN ALL DISCUSSIONS VIA COMMUNITY MEETINGS AND TO BE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A "CAPACITY BUILDING FOR A BETTER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE COMMUNITY".
