End Horse Abuse Epidemic in Ireland

2013 has seen a year of widespread and widely publicised abuse of Horses in Ireland. Let 2014 be the year that it ends.

This December a horse was found dead with two broken legs, suspected to be beaten by a group of people.

Several other large groups (60+) of Horses around the country have been taken into care, due to their owners not caring for them correctlly providing shelter, food etc. These horses are then euthanised, due to the sheer size of their group.

However, despite this clear problem, our Department of Agriculture stated on the 1st of January 2014 that Ireland does not have a major welfare problem in Horse sector, contrary to the  widepread public knowledge of abandoned and mistreated horses.

Please sign this petition in order to get the Governement of Ireland to recognize this problem, and put strict laws in place regarding conditions Horses can be kept in, they should have shelter, food, water and their owners should be licenced.

Thank you!!
