Retire #21 at Messa Rink

Mike Vecchione is, without a doubt, one of the best players to ever skate on the ice at Messa Rink. His personal achievements have come hand-over-fist but he attributes all his personal success to his teammates and to the Union College Men's Hockey Program as a whole. He is down to Earth and humble but his statistics speak for themselves. Mike has sacrificed for the betterment of his team and the blood, sweat and tears have created incredible hockey in that barn for the last 4 years. We, the undersigned, hereby believe that Mike Vecchione has left a lasting impression on Union College, Union College Men's Hockey, the fans, as well as the rink itself. From helping to bring the National Championship to hopefully bringing the Hobey Baker award (as of this date, results still pending). We respectfully request the retiring of jersey #21 as the highest honor an organization can pay to an athlete who had a career most memorable. Vecc's statistics speak for themselves. Please consider this final tribute to the last 4 years that will live forever in the hearts of his fans and the rafters of Messa Rink.
