Stop violent extermination of dogs in Ulan - Ude

  • by: Regina Suvorovtseva

Every year in the city of Ulan - Ude the government of Buryatia hires so called "dog hunters" who poison dogs with special "treats" - pieces of food with sharp nails inside. Assuming, death from inner bleeding is the humane manner of solving this problem, no other methods are taken to consideration by local government. Citizens, including children, can observe corpse of animals, lying around all over the city. Many pets are becoming victims of these dangerous "treats". As a teacher, a volunteer and a human being, I believe our government can come up with more effective and less violent way to solve the problem of homeless animals.

Dear Vyacheslav Vladimirovich,
citizens of Ulan-Ude plead with you to stop violent extermination of dogs and to make sure that money alloted to the spay and neuter programmes of homeless pets are spent wisely.
Sincerely yours,
Ulan-Ude volunteers.
