Jo Cox was a voice of compassion, whose irrepressible spirit and boundless energy lit up the lives of all who knew her and saved the lives of many she never, ever met. Today we grieve her loss – and we hold in our hearts and prayers her husband Brendan, her parents and sister, and her two children, who are just three and five years old.
Jo was killed on Thursday lunchtime outside Birstall public library, where she had been planning to run a constituency surgery. The 41-year-old MP for Batley and Spen was declared dead at 1.48pm after being shot several times and stabbed.
Jo Cox died doing her public duty at the heart of our democracy, listening to and representing the people she was elected to serve. It is a profoundly important cause for us all.
“She was a politician and she had very strong political views and I believe that she was killed because of those views,” Cox said.
"I think she died because of them and she would want to stand up for those in death as much as she did in life.”
She was very outspoken about Israels Apartheid and Military Occupation of Palestine.She was also a strong supporter and very outspoken in asking her government to help the Syrian refugees.
Jo’s legacy has to be that same inspiration.
An inspiration to others to continue her work.
An inspiration to us all to be better.
An inspiration to those who have encouraged hatred and bitterness that they have to stop.
And more than anything else, an inspiration to others to fulfil her promise and her legacy.

Jo Cox was murdered in broad daylight. Her attacker shouted "Britain First!" multiple times just before he murdered her. She was stabbed and shot by 52 year old Thomas Mair. Senseless murder by Extremist right wing Terrorist.
An innocent woman who stood up for Humanity and was murdered for it.
She will be missed. Jo........ my heartfelt prayers to Jo's husband and family, and to the UK who has millions mourning this wonderful woman.
