Make Dog Hunting for Deer Illegal in North Carolina

This petition is to bring attention to the fact that dog hunting for deer in NC is a big problem, the dogs are allowed to run all over private property, they are attacking private land owner's ducks, geese, etc. Most of the time the dogs are not retrieved until days and weeks later, leaving the dogs to fend for themselves with no food, which is animal cruelty, and also I have known several still hunters to shoot the dogs, it is not the dog's fault for their owner's stupidity and lack of caring. Deer hunting with dog's causes more car accidents with deer due to the fact that the dogs are not gonna stop running the deer, it's what they are trained to do. Also, I cannot count the times that I have seen where deer carcasses have been dumped on the sides of roads, at the rivers, creeks, etc, with the heads and antlers cut off. This is totally disrespectful and I do not agree with this sport. I am not bashing coon hunting, squirrel hunting, etc, because I have personally been myself, and have always stayed with the dogs, where in deer hunting, that is totally not the case, the dogs can run from here to China, and the deer hunters don't care where they go as long as they run a deer out for them to shoot. Most people do not agree that this is a bad sport, and they will argue that this has been a NC tradition for years past, well with that being said, I do understand the tradition, but that tradition was started when that was a means of survival, when people had no other way to make sure their families ate. That is not the case these days, and nobody eats deer that have been ran by dogs. When a deer has been ran by dogs, they taste like rubber, so tell me again what is the purpose? If you are going to kill an animal, you need to only kill the animal if you plan on eating it, if you are not planning on eating it, then you shouldn't kill it.
