Solution to Corrupt Politics

Whether you are Democrat or Republican or somewhere in between, you have suffered at the hands of a corrupted system. Our democracy is no longer ours. The American people no longer have a voice. Instead, big money and corrupt politicians make decisions for us. Decisions that are not always in the best interest of our everyday lives. Enough is enough. Stand with us and petition for real, drastic political reform. Sign this petition today supporting legislation that would enact each of these points into law. 1. Prohibit corporate/ business political contributions. 2. Prohibit lobbying. If an issue is important to the people, then a petition showing a significant support by the people should be presented not a check from the one corporation that benefits from piggy backing on legitimate legislation. 3. Term limits for all public offices. 4. Salaries in public office equivilant to the median household income of the represented constituency. 5. Eliminate lifetime salaries for those in public office. Public office is not intended to be a career or an early retirement package but a way to serve your country and fellow man. 6. Prohibit political advertisements thus taking another step to get big money out of politics. Candidates should be required to present a platform in writing and make it available and easily accessible to the public. Candidates can participate in debates and town hall meetings. Candidates can participate in online forums, respond to letters, etc. 7. Make it illegal for those in public office or the news media to quote untruths with stiff penalties for every statement which is found to be proven untrue or misrepresentative.
