With a nearly $2B deficit, and major cuts being made to TOPS and education... it is time to take drastic steps to ensure the future of our state, and the residents within.
Legalizing, taxing, and regulating marijuana sales has been PROVEN to be beneficial, financially. If you disagree, look at Colorado.
Whether you agree, or not, with the use and sales of marijuana, this IS the most sensible option in our grasp at the moment.

I am no petition writer. I am a concerned citizen of the state if Louisiana, hoping to find a way to help our dire situation.
I write this letter in hopes that you will look into and research the financial gains that can come from legalizing, regulating, and sales of medical marijuana.
Colorado has legalized the sales of medical cannabis and have generated so much funds, they are actually deliberating tax breaks for its citizens.
With nearly 2 BILLION dollars in debt, cutting funds to education, in a state that performs poorly anyways? That's not the route to go.
Please, look into my proposal. I, and many of the people of this state DESPERATELY depend on you making educated, informed decisions that will bring our state into a better way of life, for all.
