McIntosh County Sheriff's Office deputies rushed to Jackie Welch's home after receiving a complaint about severe animal neglect. Upon investigation, on scene deputies witnessed several dogs in the yard as well as one that had already been deceased. A strong foul odor was coming from the residence that smelled of feces, urine and decaying carcasses.

Other dogs were locked in cages inside the home and were severely emaciated. The dogs were removed from the property and were taken to Checotah Animal Shelter. More than 30 dogs were removed from the property. Most of the cages were too small and were immersed in urine and feces contaning no food or water. The dogs in them had also very little hair left on them because of all the fleas. Most of the dogs are thus blind or are suffering from serious eye infections. Jackie Welch is said to face trial on December 18 and his bond was set to $50, 000, but this is not enough! Don't let this monster get away with a sheer slap on the wrist!
