Colorado: Stop Selling Wild Horses for Meat

The Bureau of Land Management of Colorado agency created a program to help protect and manage wild horse populations. However, due to the economy and budget cuts they were faced with a tough decision last spring. Their pens and lands were at capacity so they were forced to look at other options for the horses. They were having an extremely difficult time finding people to adopt the horses so they found a man by the name of Tom Davis.

Tom Davis is a HUGE advocate for horse slaughter homes. When interviewed for an article he states, "Hell, some of the finest meat you will ever is a fat yearling colt. What is wrong with taking all those BLM horses they got all fat and shiny and setting up a kill plant?". He has bought over 1,700 wild horses form the BLM for $10 a head sight unseen. He then transfer them outside of state lines to a farm but declines to say where the horses actually end up. He admittedly still continues to buy horses for meat from Indian reservations because they are not managed by the same laws so technically he is not doing anything illegal. The BLM declined to look into this because they said it was just "rumors" and "in the United States you are innocent until proven guilty".

The BLM have gone to extreme measure to keep this quiet but enough is enough. Please sign this petition to STOP the selling of wild horses to Tom Davis for horse meat and better regulation of wild horses in Colorado.
