Middle school kids at Castle South Middle School request soccer team

Soccer is a popular and well enjoyed sport. For many kids it is the only sport they play. Some kids would love to try soccer but cannot play a travel team because of issues with money. Many students have issues at home that we may not know about and soccer may be their only get away.

For new kids a team could be a way to socialize and make friends. If we had a team it could interest the student into a highschool team. Which if your on a travel team you wouldnt want to be on a highschool team because you would think the skill level is to low. Being apart of a team can lead you to a better future. Some kids who dont participate in school activities are more likely to be active in drugs and smoking.
This is why the students of Castle South Middle School think a soccer team is beneficial.
