Veterans

People should care about this petition because veterans come from war and they have lost their homes. They go back to nothing and no one. They don't have a place to stay. Also, veterans risk their lives to make sure our lives are secured. Why not try to repay them back?  It's the least we can do. It's a good deed and you might feel good about yourself later on. You think to yourself that you actually changed someone's life by providing them a shelter.
