Elastic Bands discarded by Canada Post

Canada Post, postal carriers are inappropriately disgarding elastic bands at the street mailboxes (multi-residential boxes found at the ends of streets in Canada). These elastic bands are very dangerous to wild life, i.e., birds and animals when ingested or tangled/embeded on the wildlife or pets! Also, young children can pick these elastic bands up and also choke, and possibly die, from ingesting these elastic bands that are so carelessly just thrown away by Canada Post carriers. We, the following people who sign this petition say to Canada Post employees, "DO NOT THROW THESE ELASTIC BANDS ON THE GROUND, BUT RATHER DISGARD THESE APPROPRIATELY - IDEALY TO BE SHREADED AND RECYCLED". Our environment requires care from everyone, including Canada Post employees, in order for our earth and all of its' inhabitants to be healthy!
