Major Change for McKinley Senior High School Cheerleading Program

Our goal for this petition is to move forward with much needed CHANGE in order to create a positive and successful impact on the McKinley Senior High School Cheer-leading Program. As you may know most parent displayed concerns about the lack of professionalism from the Cheerleader Coach Monique Brady as well as the sponsor Dominique Zenon through out the year. Our intent is by no means to place any type of guilt or blame on the past or present cheerleaders for the lack of commitment toward the end of every cheer season, but to place the responsibility on the care free mindset and lack of leadership from Monique Brady and Dominique Zenon . We believe that bringing in a new qualified and experienced Head Coach with fresh ideas, who's focus is leading and improving the squad loyalty is what the McKinley High School Squad has needed for several years. We need a professional leader who believes in equality and who is a morale and confidence builder - not biased. The qualified candidate must display successful communication and listening skills, and must be open to parent involvement as well as the consideration of community suggestions/ideas. All these attributes are much needed for a successful program. Not punishing the kids by removing them from the team if parent stresses their concern .Listed below are only a few key points we are bringing forward to the public eye regarding the current Head Cheerleading Coach which are certainly grounds for concern and much needed change!


Major Financial Concerns!

-Current Cheer Sponsor is extremely controlling and unwilling to share fundraiser outcome with parent's. For example, when fundraiser is complete, she does not count proceeds with parent's and never tell us the outcome .

-Previous and current Cheer Parent's as well as community members unpleased with the lack cheerleader that remain on the team after Football season since the Squad under the direction of the current Coach. ( Monique Brady )

-Excessively displays favoritism towards coaches friends and those kids who shows a lack of support from parents who are on the squad.

-Displays a care free attitude toward the squad resulting in low morale and lack of effort.

-Lack of professional ethics as a Coach, for example verbally criticizing or intimidating squad members as well as publically bashing other coaches in the District. Example Scotlandville High cheer coach and Monique Brady having a altercation nearly about to fight in front of team at a Scotlandville Basketball game .

-History of poor treatment towards cheerleaders, consistent unsportsmanlike conduct, & unbecoming of a leader or role model.


Because of our love and support of McKinley High Athletics we the following McKinley cheerleaders, students, parents,, alumni and fans of McKinley Senior High Schools, sincerely and urgently request that you remove Monique Brady as the High School Cheer Coach and Dominique Zenon Cheer Sponsor of McKinley High School immediately.
