Children - mostly 0-5 year olds are dying from preventable causes like malaria, anaemia and diarrhoea mainly because parents do not take them to standard hospitals on time.
Money, precisely the lack of it; to pay for the high out-of-pocket expenses of getting medical laboratory tests and treatment in a standard facility drives many parents to quacks whose services are cheaper but do not provide the appropriate healthcare needed.
Please, sign this petition calling on the Ogun State Governor to make ARAYA - the Ogun State Community Based Health Insurance Scheme mandatory for 0-5 years. To ensure that every child is covered and able to access basic appropriate healthcare at no cost to the parents apart from subscription advertised- a yearly fee of N4000:00k.
Also, to implement state wide publicity and enlightenment that ensure everyone knows:
