The Humane Society Legislative Fund states that Connecticut has no laws to protect animals on factory farms from intensive confinement.

As Connecticut consumers, we want the animals raised for our food to be treated humanely and hygienically. Raising animals in cramped quarters is cruel and unsanitary. 

We are asking that Connecticut lawmakers propose a bill making it illegal to subject animals on factory farms and animals raised for food to intensive or otherwise inhumane confinement.
