Damage Caused to Emergency Scan ID and Vital One Technologies

  • by: Helen Petaia
  • recipient: A Government Agency unnamed for Legal Reasons

Emergency Scan ID had invested over $2million in development and early stage commericalisation.

By October 2013,the company was ready to scale rapidly and had prepared a Strategic offering for additonal investment capital and fully engaged the services of Tauro Capital to lead this activity to raise an additional $2million to expand.

In December 2013 the business and all its plans were abrupbtly and unexpectedly Distrupted, but what has now proven to be an incorrect , harsh and unjust finding by a Government Agency.

The company  had spent the previous 15 months under investigation(commenced Sept 2012) , but did expect a favourable result.

The result published in December 2013 caused a further 12 months of disruption during which time we endured aggressive legal actions and suffered reputation and credibility damage that escalated the period of Disruption effectively putting a hold on plans  to 27 months.

The company had no option other than to submit to the demands dictated to it by this lawful authority who had the ability to force the closure of the enterprise.

Eventually, after much heartache, pain, suffering, mental injury and effort the Lawful Authority conceded a mistake had been made , apologising and withdrawing all legal action. The Lawful authority went on the record in writing to not only apologise for the Stress caused, but to affirm that both Helen Petaia and Vital One Technologies had acted within accordance of the Law and were fully entitled to all the provisions they had received.

This exoneration occured in December 2014.

The business now faces an uncertain future and is now seeking Compensation for Detriment.

Statement of Fact

  1. I have known Helen Petaia and the Company she established Vital One Technologies, during a period within the last five (5) years (2010 - 2015) and can testify that she was full time actively engaged in the development and commercialisation of a business known as Emergency Scan ID

  2. The teams Passion, Vision and work ethic were admirable and the early stage versions of Emergency Scan ID, alongside the parterships and customer engagement/user base the company was establishing were impressive.

  3. I bear witness, that Helen Petaia and her team, committed time, resources and finances in a detailed and strategic planned operation.

  4. I understood what Emergency Scan ID was , the Mheatlh market it was looking to exploit, the emerging trends of consumer facing mobile solutions in ehealth that it was addressing and that it had the capability to grow globally as a company.

  5. I observed these activities over a period of several years and in particular from 2011 to  December 2013,when she was further resourced by Investors to accelerate.

  6. I also bear witness that at the beginning of 2014 her business went into a holding pattern, due to a disruption that I now know was caused by an unresolved matter under law. While I am not afforded the details, it is clearly obvious to me that his had an affect on the company progressing the growth of the business and execution of plans further. I also bear witness that it has placed a significant amount of mental duress and financial hardship upon Helen Petaia  and her family and additional financial pressure and risk to the directors of Vital One Technologies and its shareholders.

  7. I can testify that the business appeared to have been put “on hold” and that I had questions in my mind “what has happened to Emergency Scan ID - is it still operational?”. I had these questions throughout 2014 , after things seemed to have “dramatically” gone quiet and Helen Petaia and her company Vital One Technologies were “limited and cautious in discussing details of why”.

  8. I had every belief that the strategy, professionalism and resources that I had witnessed, alongside the experience of Helen Petaia and the Directors of Vital One Technologies and their combined experience and abilities to start, establish and grow businesses , that Emergency Scan ID was on a path to successfully be a global business.

I therefore have signed on the record below, to testify that the disruption caused to Emergency Scan ID has had a significant impact to the future potential and success I had been expecting to witness.

I fully support any justice, by way of compensation to Vital One Technologies , its Directors, shareholders and Helen Petaia, that may remove the financial repercussions, this unjust activity has caused ,allowing Helen Petaia and Vital One Technologies to restore  them to their previous position of strength in their market and enable them re assess the future potential of Emergency Scan ID ,if the resources that have been wasted by significant time delays caused by the unwarranted actions of the “agency” wielding their Lawful authority and power in an unfair way are recompensed by the offending "agency".

As an Australian Tax Paying resident, I fully support any  fair and just compensation payable from the Public Purse.
