Those Who Oppose The Changes to School District 62

Today the parents of John Stubbs School received an email with the proposed plans for changes to School District number 62. The school district plans on making John Stubbs school a fully French Immersion school (Single track French). A group has been created in hopes of petitioning the changes, requesting that the school district reevaluate their decision, as it will have a very detrimental effect on the children of the military community who live in the area as well as many families who have chosen to call John Stubbs home for their children. Military children deal with enough change with parents and family members being away. Having a school in the community lets them be around other kids who are dealing with the same or at least similar situations. The school is one of the best things for Belmont Park, and its surrounding community. There's a sense of "family" and feeling of acceptance for the children. If there is anyone from other schools, within the district who are opposed to the change, or even from other districts that would be willing to support us in our plight to have them reconsider, please join our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/219334574934213/219338748267129/?notif_t=group_comment) and sign our petition.

Please take a stand and show the school district that we should have a say.
