Some cosmetics companies that were cruelty-free for many years have changed their policies on animal testing so that they may market to China where animal testing is required. These companies include but are not limited to Mary Kay, Avon and Estee Lauder. Not all of these companies have notified consumers that they are no longer cruelty-free. Even through their websites where they still claim to be free of animal testing even though they are not.
Companies continue to test on animals to prove its safety, but the information gathered from animal testing is inaccurate. In fact, animal-modeled data works against human health. Data from animal models and human results are compatible 5-25% of the time. In comparison human cell toxicology tests have an accuracy rate of 80-85%, three times more accurate than using animals. Since animal experimentation is not predictive for humans, there is no point in pretending that testing on rodents will prove its safety on humans.We cannot be basing the research that will affect the future of our health and wellness off of such inaccurate testing.
Alternatives to animal tests are effective, reliable, affordable and humane. Unlike animal tests, non-animal methods usually take less time to complete, cost only a fraction of what the animal experiments cost, and do not face the problems that are inevitable in animal tests due to the difference in species. Human clinical and epidemiological studies, human tissue, cadavers, and computational models are just a sampling of the other options for testing. We can have more reliable, more precise, less expensive, and more humane ways of gathering data by using cruelty-free alternatives.
By signing this petition you are showing the companies that you are against their use of animal testing. Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world would do this, it would change the earth.

As a consumer, I am writing to urge you to stop animal testing for Chinese government and other countries that require animal testing.
Animal testing in the world of cosmetics is an unnecessary. Avon, Mary Kay, and Estée Lauder has promoted against animal testing since the 1980s but have recently have decided to reinstate animal testing due to the export of their products to China. I have signed this petition to show my protest to the animal testing in the cosmetic field as it is no longer needed.
I wont give my support to companies who test on animal by choosing to buy products from companies who do not test on animals. I again urge you to stop animal testing and have your products be cruelty free.
