Save the Seals!

All around the arctic there are around seven types of seals. Between these seals there are two major reasons for their decline and possible extinction. If we do not act now not only will we lose a beautiful creature but it will affect another at risk, the polar bear, and dramatically change its ecosystem. The carelessness of humans, climate change, and traditions are few reasons for their decline. Everyone has experienced this new and hotter climate change one way or another. Although we can do something about it to fit our lifestyle animals cannot. Many arctic species are experiencing dramatic change like ice caps melting and not enough time to adapt leading their risk for extinction. With very few and limited ice seal pups are not given enough time to mature and get left behind their mothers. Selfish or not, the high demand on fish that people demand is impractical. Fish can not reproduce constantly as people wish and to their negligence seals are blamed for the decrease in fish population. As a solution fishermen slaughter innocent seals. Sometimes its for their pelt but other times it is just to get them out of the way. It is extremely important for people to understand seals are not to blame, the important role they play, and taking its pelt is not necessary. As a solution it may be dramatic but the banning of seal hunting would help the loss in population. Most importantly responsibility would help with climate change. Without seals you wont only be taking one animal down but the whole ecosystem will collide, become weak, and possibly put another animal in danger.
