Our father, Luis Marin, has been wrongfully accused of making a terrorist threat, when he did what any concerned citizen would do if he/she ever encountered a suspicious package, notified the authorities. We have always been told by police officials to contact them immediately in case of an emergency. Never have we been told that we would be held accountable for the emergency we were trying to report or prevent. It is a scary thought to think that citizens will now second guess their duty to report a crime because of fear of being linked to the crime itself. Our father did the right thing and is now being punished for it. Please help us clear his name and bring justice to our family.
