Cruelty to Rabbits - Food for Cats

I know many of us love cats and dogs and can do anything for them but are we willing to put other animals through so much suffering and cruelty even if they are food for our pets.
Rabbits being used as the most common source of meat for cats and dogs is not from wild unlike common perception but are farmed animals in appalling condition. From birth to slaughter, they don't get to see the daylight or grass but are stuck inside cages where they cant even stand or stretch and with nothing to gnaw on. Those rabbits live their whole lives in wired cages, sometimes with other dead ones and with chewed ears in case of over crowded cages. Those rabbits were mostly suffering fungi infections that caused their beautiful white fur to shed, sometimes alive in the pit of faeces, face covered in sores and in pain from bleeding and ulcerated paws waiting for their slow death or slaughter.
This horrifying situation requires every one's attention and effort as no one should be willing to let these go by without making a stand.
