Because there are many accidents with injuries and deaths at this intersection and along this road, we would like Newberry Twp. and PennDot to lower the speed limit on the Lewisberry Rd. and provide better signs alerting drivers about the intersection and also the buisness driveways.
This road is highly traveled and has many driveways. The speed limit is 55 MPH, often travelers are going above the limit. Anyone needing to stop and wait to make a turn onto the many business and residential driveways along this stretch of highway is in danger.
Cars often come upon a stopped vehicle to quickly, to avoid collision they swerve onto the berm of the road putting school children, pedestrians and cyclists in danger.
