We, the residents of the Liszt Gate, Evergreen community, petition ICC Property Management Ltd. to reverse the recent changes made to garbage collection and pick up or make specific changes to the process that better suite our quality of living and
the environment we wish to continue living in.
We oppose:
- Moving garbage collection from one centralized location at the south side parking area.
- Creating collection points, as well as the unsightly and malodours presence of garbage, on the sidewalk and along the main thoroughfare into our community.
- The safety hazards associated with blocking the sidewalk and forcing pedestrian traffic onto the road.
- Conditions which make garbage accessible to local wildlife and the dangers this creates for local residents and their pets, as well as the wildlife itself.
- Paying an additional City of Toronto garbage collection utility charge for a service previously included in our maintenance fees.
We demand:
- ICC Property Management return the garbage collection to a single, centralized location removed from our sidewalk and the main thoroughfare into our community.
- ICC Property Management keep our sidewalks clear of obstructions, safety hazards and garbage.
- ICC Property Management utilize the funds from our maintenance fees to pay for garbage collection.
- ICC Property Management continue to consult with owners to work together to continue to make decisions which will keep our community safe and beautiful.
