Support the Shenendehowa Student Walkout

The students of Shenendehowa High School are organizing a walkout on April 20. This walkout is part of a nationwide movement known as the National School Walkout. You can find more information about this movement on @schoolwalkoutUS. We are still in the planning stages. The message that needs to be sent to Congress is that their lack of action regarding gun control will no longer be tolerated. We will not sit idly by and watch another preventable massacre take place. There are steps that can be taken to fix this problem, and they must not be taken by only Congress and our local officials, but by our community as well. On April 20, people will walk out of their classes and exit the building. After a rally we will have workshops and forums organized that involve local organizations, politicians, educators, and activists. There will be an open discussion about the issue of gun violence in schools and how we will go about fixing it. Please join and support us in taking a step towards ending gun violence.
