Dear President Biden: Tell the Republicans to Take Their Debt Limit "Plan" and Shove it

Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans are demanding draconian budget cuts, or they will push America into default.

President Biden, tell the Republicans to take their plan and shove it.

The debt limit covers money already spent, and debt already incurred. Not raising it would throw the nation into default, and likely cause a massive recession. This is why the debt limit has always been raised, and why we need a clean vote on doing so again.

If Republicans want to negotiate future spending, they can do so as part of the normal budget process. But threatening default if they don't get their way is unacceptable, and we giving into them would be rewarding economic terrorism.
