Demand Justice for Tibetan Citizens in hope to free them from Chinese Domination

In the future, I hope for Tibet to retain their freedom and human rights. The British government should try to raise awareness for Tibet’s present situation and perhaps try to persuade the Chinese to at the least make Tibet’s suffering less severe. This would help because China wouldn’t feel threatened and Tibet would be allowed some form of freedom.
Tibetan Buddhism is valuable regarding the situation, and the rest of the world. As an atheist, I feel that I can relate to the religion more because Buddhist’s don’t follow a God. The absence of the God makes me feel more familiar with the religion because I don’t feel I have to believe in an individual, and instead I can relate to their teachings. For example, the Dalai Lama’s approach of ‘non violence’ can offer the rest of the world an option that could potentially end all conflict because when it comes to violence between individuals or ethnic groups, Buddhism can offer support in three areas: understanding violence; preventing violence and offering alternatives to violence. People often ask ‘how people such as Terrorists and Murderers such as the Taliban kill masses of people and carry on doing so?’ Some people believe that it is as though the violent ones are placed in an ‘alienated category, far away from the civilized, peaceful ones. However, we will never understand violence if we stay at this level. Buddhism can provide guidance here in two ways. Firstly, it can educate us that violence is to be expected in a world that is centered on greed, hatred and delusion and secondly, it can allow us to see that the people of violence are not abnormalities within the human race and instead, those people are victims of a series of factors that involve many more people than the initial offender.

By helping and supporting Tibet, we will be able to benefit from their practical methods to help conflict eventually cease and we should all be inspired by Tibet and their remarkable history.
