SAVE SUNDARBAN !! STOP COAL POWER PROJECT!!

Goodbye Sundarban!
~ Bangladesh and India on Saturday signed three agreements for a joint coal-based power company project. The thermal power plant is proposed to be set up over 1,834 acres of land near the Mongla seaport which would result in drastic changes in nature including rise in arsenic levels, soil damage, acid rain and an extinction of Sundarban-the largest mangrove forest in the world. If there is no forest then there will be no place for our Royal Bengal Tigers and the wildlife. India approve NTC (National Thermal Power Corporation) to have a similar plant in Madhya Pradesh, so why did we shake hands to create something which would only destroy what we have left?
