Mexican Senate and Chamber of Deputies: Support Marriage Equality

Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto made a huge move towards equality in Latin America by proposing the legalization of gay marriage in his country. This marks a significant shift in the consciousness of the country as gay marriage has been illegal in many of the provinces of Mexico.

Gay marriage is an important step for any country to take in their acceptance and celebration of the LGBT community. LGBT couples deserve the same rights as heterosexual couples and Mexico needs to know that there is lots of support for their new proposal that could set a trend for the rest of latin America.
