George W. Bush created the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives which was one of the many ways that he allowed the Religious Right to have a political say and to funnel tax dollars to support faith-based charitable organizations. This government office is a violation of the separation of Church and State that received little notice. This is a highly biased and unconstitutional political office and has to be disbanded. Faith based Charitable organizations should never receive Federal Funds. The Religious right gets tax dollars to distribute as they see fit. Most of the state governments have now established their own faith-based offices to distribute funds to religious groups. One of the leaders from Florida, home to Lawtey Corregtions institution the nations first faith-based prison. It is no different then giving the oil companies government subsidies. It's time to get the wall back between church and state.
