I read about this online and wanted to start a petition to aid those who need it. Army vets too often go unheard of as soon as returning home. Many can not obtain work let alone deal with issues following such a traumatic experience as war. After returning home, Darin Welker, 36 became depressed and began suffering from PTSD. These "therapy ducks" help him get out of bed each morning and continue being physically active. Studies have shown that physical active does led to a decrease in depression.
Please let's help this courageous men in West Lafayette, Ohio keep his ducks and continue his therapeutically work. No harm is being done to the ducks, so why should he have to suffer.
