Oppose Anti-LGBT Workplace Discrimination Legislation

The government should never fund discrimination and no taxpayer should be disqualified from a job under federal contract or grant just because he or she is the ‘wrong’ religion”.

That statement was included in a letter from the Coalition Against Religious Discrimination (made up of 42 civil rights groups) opposing the harmful amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.  An amendment that will have the ability to deny LGBT rights in federal contracting.

This measure allows the government to provide religious organizations exemptions from the American Disabilities Act and Federal Civil Rights Law… while completely overriding the President Obama’s executive order extending LGBT nondiscriminatory protections to federal contractors.

As a nation, we became united in support as the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples are allowed marry.

Now, we need to do everything we can to stand up and help protect LGBT rights.

Please sign to tell the US House to oppose the defense measure exempting federal contractors from LGBT protection.

United States House of Representatives,

I strongly urge you to oppose the harmful defense measure exempting federal contractors from LGBT protection.
