Metal detectors in DPISD

School shootings are a common thing; sad, but true. Gun control and things like that are tied up in politics and aren't changing any where in the near future. Something needs to happen and it needs to happen now. I propose metal detectors. Courtrooms and airports have them. When's the last time you heard about a shooting in one of those locations? Don't our children deserve the same effort of protection? We have to make a change. We have to start somewhere. Why not start with metal detectors? At least it's a step in the right direction.
