Many of us Eminem fans would like our voices to be heard. While we are happy to have new and interesting Eminem music, a good portion of us would love to experience listening to some more hip hop heavier Eminem music once again.
Revival is a super diverse album which does in fact have something for most any Eminem fan. However, we the undersigned, respectfully request music, (physical or digital), containing tracks that have a higher ratio of hip hop production tracks than rock or pop. Of all the varied criticism the consensus seems to be that fans enjoyed more of the hip hop tracks on Revival and want to hear more of that from Eminem> In particular many fans were not too satisfied with the Rick Rubin produced tracks. Should these tracks have featured artists, we further request that these tracks contain a higher ratio of hip hop artists than pop artist features.
Or alternatively, we the undersigned, respectfully request music, (physical or digital), containing tracks with Eminem free styling over hip hop freestyle beats.
No one doubts Eminem's writing or rhyming ability. Nor are we requesting that he change his overall musical direction moving forward. We respect Eminem to make whatever type of music that he chooses as an artist. We are simply requesting a detour. And we all realize that it is impossible for Eminem to please everyone when he is such a multi-dimensional artist with such a diverse fan base. Naturally some people are going to want this, while others want something else. Still, as mentioned earlier, the consensus is that most fans want more of the hip hop than rock and pop.
We love Eminem, many of us grew up listening to him and many of us have been brought through tough times by his music. We appreciate Revival and many of us are enjoying the content. We feel that Eminem has nothing more to prove to us, he has solidified his place on the throne as one of the best to ever hold a mic in hip hop. We do not want Eminem to retire because of some dissatisfied fans. However we really miss Marshall bringing the heat to some head bopping beats.
