Please help us tell our City and County that a No kill Animal shelter Is a priority!

For over 30 years our little shelter has done the job of rescuing the homeless animals of the City of Cloquet and the City’s and Township’s in Carlton County Mn. We have put homeless, abused, and neglected animals first providing them a safe haven. In all that time the financial and moral support from the City and County has been lacking.

Friends of Animals operates on a budget of just over $300,000 annually. As support, the City and County provide less than 15% of that, with only 13% from the County and less than 2% from the City. If we continue to operate without the proper sustainable help from the County and City, we will have a 120,000 shortfall in our upcoming budget AND our building will have a questionable future.

On top of the daily challenges we have due to operating on such a budget, our building condition is deplorable. It is simply too small to accommodate our animal population and working staff comfortably, it is literally rusting away from both the outside and the inside and more critically, does not afford the space or ventilation required to adequately care for the animals. Please sign our petition to show the City and County that ignoring the plight of homeless animals is not expectable and that Kill for convenience is not an option that is expectable to the public in this day and age.
