STOP Developers from Clear Cutting Wooded Areas and Destroying Forests

This petition is to the Mayor, City Council, and the Planning and Development Department of Corinth, Texas.

Residents in Corinth, Texas are concerned about the destruction of our wooded areas to build homes.

A development company plans to remove every tree, which is about 2000 trees, in the Larkspur Subdivision.   This must stop in our entire city.  Clear cutting our trees and leaving no place for wildlife to survive is unacceptable.

The development company also asked for a reduction in the number of trees they are required replace.  The area they clear cut will never be the same again.  No amount of small trees they might provide to the city will ever be enough.

Please help us stop developers from destroying our city.  Developers must be required to build around trees and they must be required to leave Greenbelts and Wildlife Preserves for every area they develop.

We want our city to purchase wooded areas with water sources and create Wildlife Preserves and Greenbelts throughout the city.

The human race is here to protect the Earth and the resources in it.  By caring for trees man is protecting indispensable resources that provide oxygen and support life.
