Stop open shooting of crows

Recently, Municipal councils in Malaysia have decided to carry out open shooting events to control the number of crows despite the protest from the public. The reason given is that crows are considered as pests and they were simply responding to the complaints from the general public. There were also protests from the general public to stop the shooting but that did not stop them from continuing with the shooting held on Sunday 15/6/14 at the Klang town. What is more appalling is that they have invited and rewarded anyone with shooting licenses to kill the crows.

These independent shooters are usually very cruel, inhumane and carry out the act as if they were born to kill, ecstatic after each kill. Public including terrified children have seen them banging injured crows repeatedly on the road till they die. Human beings should realize that every creature has the right to live and killing them mercilessly to suit their own lifestyles is horrible. Crows occupy mostly the sky and trees, unless they need food which is scarce also due to the greed of mankind that has destroyed most of their natural habitat.

I really hope that the Malaysian government will reconsider their decision to allow the open shooting of crows and allow these crows to live freely.
