Sidney Elementary Learning First

The Town of Sidney wants to purchase land from the Saanich School Board to build a fire hall/emergency services facility beside Sidney Elementary School. The comfort, safety and learning of Sidney Elementary students must be the priority for decision makers on this issue. The research on learning and mental health is clear, fire halls and schools do not mix. We can support and protect our teachers and learners, and the future of Sidney by stopping plans for a fire hall beside the only school in our Town.
