Take Action NOW! NO Soccer Arena at Bub Williamson Park

We the residents of Vista and neighborhood of Bub Williamson Park strongly OPPOSE the Bub Williamson Park revitalization project as written in particular the building of an ADULT SOCCER ARENA. The objections include but are not limited to:
1.Residents will be subjected to noise from soccer play until TEN PM an unspecified number of nights.
2.Night time arena bright lighting will negatively affect the residents and the wildlife habitat.
3.Traffic will increase as a result of the soccer matches, creating problems on all of the two lane roads leading into the park.
4.Increased parking due to players and out of town spectators during times of soccer matches and practices will exceed the existing parking and use the neighboring streets for parking (Grapevine Lane, Driftwood Ct, Grapevine Rd, etc.).
5.Opening of the gate or fence along Huff St. whether pedestrian or vehicular use, as this street should remain a closed to thru traffic.
We do APPROVE the following aspects of the revitalization project, all or in part, but not limited to the following, (off leash dog park, child's play area, upgraded bathrooms, police patrols, etc.). Any and all improvements to Bub Williamson Park should be made in an effort to maintain a quite, safe park for all residents of Vista and neighborhood of Bub Williamson Park.
We are asking for the City of Vista to STOP any further planning including any bids until a Community Design Workshop has been conducted.
