DRESS CODE IS WRONG

Dress code in schools is sexist, racist, homophobic/transphobic, and unfair. Especially for females. Girls in school are not allowed to wear short shorts, shorter dresses, or expose their shoulders, bras, cleavage, and stomachs because the hormonal boys "can't handle it" and it "distracts them". However, for some reason boys are allowed to go around showing underwear and their bare chests without getting any kind of punishment. this makes girls feel that it is wrong to be themselves and that they have to somehow change themselves. some girls can't help if their cleavage shows because they have bigger breasts.
Dress code also says that boys are not allowed to wear dresses, skirts, and, in some schools, have long hair. This means that LGBTQA+ students are unable to be themselves.
Isn't school about learning and making friends and finding out who you are?? How are we supposed to do that if we are basically being forced into who they want us to be??? I hate wearing long jeans, especially when it is hot outside. I don't feel comfortable in knee-length shorts either. Whenever I am not in school, I always wear short shorts and loose fitted tops; because that is who I am.

Dress code makes students, especially teenagers, have a very low self esteem. I know this because it happened to me and I watched it happen to many of my closest friends. That is why I am writing this. No longer will I watch the people I love become depressed and hate themselves all because some stupid, unfair dress code. I will NOT watch the ones I love feel insecure about showing who they are because some boy couldn't control his hormones.
