Get Rid Of Dress Codes In Schools

I want to get rid of all dress codes in schools. I need to do this, for good reason. I'm only a sixth grader, and I feel as if I'm getting shamed in school for wearing what I am comfortable wearing. Let's start off by saying last year I hated my body. I hated it more then anything. I didn't want anyone to see it. I didn't want to wear shorts, or crop tops. I hated myself. Then came summer and my sister let me have some of her old crop tops. I also got a bikini for swimming and I actually got very comfortable in the way I looked again. I was wearing crop tops and shorts and I was honestly really happy. But then I came back to school. In about the first week of school I got pulled out of class and told to call my mom for her to bring me new shorts because mine were "to short, under fingertip length" but the thing was I don't have shorts past fingertip length so I had to wear jeans, not skinny jeans because those aren't aloud, no I had to wear regular jeans. Let me just add, I don't remember the exact temp. that day, but I do remember it was past 95 degrees. I once again felt as though I was ashamed to have my body. I didn't want anybody to see it. Even on the hottest days, I would cover up and wear jeans and regular shirts. I started realizing that this may have been because of my school so I did an experiment I had some guy (I don't remember who he was) and I both wear shirts that sleeves were a little under 3 fingers. We were standing in the lunch line together then all of a sudden one of the lunch monitors came up to ME and only ME (the female) and said "You need to go change" I turned to my friend and the lunch Monitor just nodded his head torward to him. I then want to change, but as I was changing it came to mind, if he just had to address ME for breaking the dress code and not my male friend then does the dress code just apply to females? They say it's because women wearing those kindS of things, hormonal teenage guys can get distracted on. So we are forced to cover up our shoulders our stomachs our legs, how long until they say "OK girls but like those ankles are way too distracting cover them up" to " OK girls those necks are going to be way too distracting why don't you put something over that" until they say " those pretty faces of yours will get guys distracted you should put something over that so guys get better grades on tests and less distracted" I mean come on I know I'm exaggerating but what does that remind you of? Exactly. I want to get rid of dress codes because I don't want girls to be ashamed in what they want to wear, I want to feel like I can go to school with confidence, instead of going and thinking wow I'm not gonna be able to wear what I want to where I don't look good because I'm not comfortable with my body anymore because school say I can't dress to express myself. I understand some people are afraid of getting bullied for what they wear, but I get bullied even more because I can't wear the clothing that makes me feel pretty. There's a whole list of reasons why I want to get rid of dress codes there's a whole list of reasons why I want to get rid of dress codes they say dress for sucess, but how am I supposed to know what that looks like compared to what expressing myself looks like if I can't even do that in school. These are just some of the reasons I want to get rid of dress codes in schools.
