In Montrose, Colorado, it is reported that a 55-year old man was held by authorities for suspicion of animal cruelty. According to the Montrose police, a woman arrived home to find her dog, a 10-month old pit bull named Flex had a bullet wound to his head and side of the face. Additionally, the poor animal’s throat was cut.

The man, Mr. Kelly allegedly claims that the shot the dog after it snapped at his toddler niece when she sat on the dog. However, he claims that he did not cut its throat. We are urging the police department to do a thorough investigation into this incident to determine if there is possible criminal wrongdoing on the part of this man. Help us in our efforts to encourage a full investigation and possible charges of this man by signing and sharing this petition. This young animal did not deserve to be shot, twice, and have its throat slit. Let’s gain justice for Flex, who is remarkably healing and surviving from his injuries.

Montrose Police Department – We ask you to actively engage in a full investigation regarding the incident where Mr. Kelly shot a young dog twice, slitting its throat because it allegedly nipped at his niece. You need to find out the truth about what really happened and if this guy is guilty in his actions to abuse this dog.
