The Santa fe community should be proud of their basketball teams and players. as the community, audience, and fans of our santa fe high basketball team we should be able to fully support our team, but how can we support a team that is under the influence of a coach that robs players of their passion and love for the game?
a basketball team should be based off of; commitment, passion, team mentality, having fun, education, reaching goals, and learning the love for the game. we as the community of santa fe should have a right to say when enough is enough. Coach David Rodriquez (Coach Rod) hasnt had a winning season for 14 years which is basically his entire head coaching career. In the words of Einstein "to do the same thing over and over and expect a differetn result is insane.' As parents we should be able to decide who holds the future of our children, we should be the ones to decide what kind of influence we want our kids under. the community should be able to see our future generations succeed with honors not only given to them through winning, but honors that have been givin to them towards their well-being. Honors that have been earned through hard work, respect, deducation, compasson, and positive disipline, not punitive.
Santa Fe High School has a basketball team that shines with potential, promise, skill, and most importantly the heart that it takes to play this game.Our teams goal is not only based off of trying to reach the level of success that the girls' basketball team reached last year (A State Title) but also to make a lasting impact on our student athletes that teaches them that team work can overcome all odds. How are we supposed to see our players shine with talent if the man that is in control of these players, is masking up their true potential by using; fear, control, abuse, and poor leadership to run this team.
